The Core Device Suite (CDS) is a growing collection of applications available for handset manufacturers to preload on mobile phones. The CDS today includes the calendar, alarm clock, world clock, notepad and calculator. It is available for operator-specified user interfaces and as a reference design that can be rapidly modified to match the consistency of other applications on the handset. The CDS is built using QUALCOMM’s BREW solution and can be easily integrated into a foundation platform to support multiple handset models.
